About the Game

MYSTWOOD is a Player Cooperation Live Action Role Playing (LARP) Game set in a fantastic version of the Middle Ages.

At Mystwood, the focus is on community. Players and staff work together to bring the world to life, with volunteer Chronicle runners telling one, two, or three-year stories under the direction of our Game Masters, who are in turn guided by our Board of Directors. Mystwood attracts all types of players- those who wish to participate in boffer combat, intense role play, puzzle solving, or crafting will all find something to do at Mystwood.

The newest Mystwood Chapter, Mystwood: Novgorond is an expansion of the Mystwood world and will be played at the Burgundar LARP Site. Novgorond historically was an influential Russian city-state that often competed for power with Kiev. In the Mystwood world, some of its history has been included, and some have been embellished and changed. The players of Novgorond will be camped out a short distance away from The Wall that separates the civilized world from Thule and the Chaos Wastes. Defenders come from all over Europa to place their name on the “Roll of Defenders” and protect the Wall.

Additional info: Currently Mystwood: The Chronicles of Novgorond is played on a single day,
typically Saturday, and food is provided by volunteer cooks in the tavern. It’s very important to
dress appropriately for the winter and wear good quality (warm) footwear.

Important Note: Participants under 16 years of age are not able to access all of the mechanics of play.
